A North England working-class band recorded it and different versions from the same sessions were released in the UK (#2) and the US (#13). It became an anthem during the Vietnam War. Very recognizable bass lead and organ lines. #233 on Rolling Stone's 500 Greatest Songs Of All Time and inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame. Song? Band?
